Effective Date: 1 October 2025
Ocela ("Ocela", "we", "us") is designed to give you clear, private insights into your wellbeing. This Privacy Policy explains what information remains on your device, how we process data locally, and the choices you have while using the Ocela iOS application (the "App").
The App works entirely on-device. Depending on the permissions you grant, we may process the following categories of data on your phone:
We do not collect credentials, precise location, phone contacts, or biometrics.
All insights and calculations are performed locally. We do not maintain cloud accounts or mirror your health records elsewhere.
Ocela does not operate backend servers. We do not:
Your iPhone’s system protections guard the data Ocela displays. We recommend enabling Face ID or Touch ID, keeping iOS updated, and using Apple’s encrypted iCloud backups if you back up Health data.
Residents in the United Kingdom, European Union, and other jurisdictions with privacy legislation retain all rights granted by local law. Because Ocela does not host or profile your information, these rights can be exercised directly by adjusting Health permissions or deleting the App. If you contact us, we will respond within 30 days.
Ocela is intended for people aged 16 and older. If you learn that a child has been using the App without appropriate supervision, please remove the App and associated Health data from the device.
We may revise this Privacy Policy to reflect new product capabilities or regulatory requirements. Material updates will be announced in the App release notes and on this page. The "Effective Date" indicates the latest revision.
